Excerpts from Mike's Letter Home:

08/08/2002

Dear Parents,

This is your official notification that I have arrived at the mission home. We arrived at 12:30 a.m. and went to bed around 1:00 a.m. I will say that 6:30 a.m. came really quickly this morning. Though, all of us seem to be kind of out of it.

It may interest you that some of the other missionaries had problems with their Wasatch bicycle orders and are being told to cancel their orders and order from other places (like you did.)

Well, we have some more training today and we shall see how that goes. But, it probably will be better than the 8 1/2 hours we got to spend at the Denver airport. It is kind of exciting to be out of the MTC, but it's not like I know what to expect here.

It was really hot last night. I think it was like 89 degrees at 12:30 a.m. when we got off the plane. Oh well, in 2 years I should be used to it.

Pardon my writing, but it is early and we didn't get much sleep. I will hopefully be able to write again soon and actually make some more sense. I wish you all the best!

Love,
Elder Michael Robinson
